The plugins run on your server

LinkMedic and LinkMedic Pro run inside your own WordPress site. Scan results, redirects, settings and logs are stored in your WordPress database. We do not receive your content, your visitors' data or your scan results, and the plugins contain no tracking or analytics.

Connections the plugins make

• Link checks: to check a link, your server requests the URL found in your content (for affiliate links it follows the redirect to the shop). These sites see your server's IP address, as with any web request.
• License activation (Pro): when you save a license key, the plugin sends the key and your site URL to Lemon Squeezy (api.lemonsqueezy.com) to activate, check or deactivate it.
• Update check (Pro): about twice a day your site downloads a small version file from www.jrdevdesign.com. Our host receives the request with your server's IP address and the WordPress user agent, which includes your site URL. We use this only to deliver the file and do not build profiles from it.
• Archived copies (Pro): for dead external links the plugin asks the Internet Archive (archive.org) whether a saved copy of that URL exists.
• Weekly report (Pro): sent by your own WordPress site to the address you enter; it does not pass through us.

Buying a license

Lemon Squeezy, LLC is our reseller and merchant of record. It collects your name, email address, billing address and payment details to process the order, handle taxes and deliver the license key, under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, country, order details and the sites your key is activated on, so that we can provide the license, updates, support and refunds (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep order data as long as tax and commercial law require (up to 10 years in Germany).

Support emails

If you email us, we use your message and address to answer you and keep the conversation for as long as needed to help you, at most three years after the last message.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, to data portability and to object to processing. Write to johannes@jrdevdesign.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA). We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
