Privacy Policy — TradingLog

Last updated: April 4, 2026

This policy describes how JRDevDesign (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the TradingLog mobile application on iOS and Android. TradingLog is a trading journal: you can record trades, notes, and optional screenshots. The app is free to download; optional paid features may be offered via in-app purchase.

For app help and contact details, see our Support page.

1. Data stored on your device

Your journal entries, trade records, checklists, and attached screenshots are primarily stored locally on your device (for example using on-device databases). We do not receive a copy of that content simply because you use the app.

2. Optional Google sign-in and Google Drive backup

If you choose to sign in with Google and use Google Drive backup, the app may upload backup files (such as trade and journal data and related images) to your Google account. That processing is governed by Google’s terms and privacy policy. We use this feature only to provide the backup you request.

3. In-app purchases (Apple App Store & Google Play)

Payments for optional digital items or subscriptions are processed by Apple and/or Google. We do not collect or store your full payment card details. We may receive limited information from the store (for example product identifiers and entitlement status) to unlock features you purchased.

Apple Privacy Policy · Google Privacy Policy (also applies to Google Play purchases)

4. Camera and photos

If you attach screenshots, the app may request access to your camera and/or photo library. Access is used only for features you initiate (for example choosing or capturing an image). Images you attach are stored as part of your local data and, if you use Google Drive backup, may be included in your backups as described above.

5. App updates (Expo / EAS Update)

The app may download over-the-air updates (for example JavaScript bundles) from Expo infrastructure to deliver fixes and improvements. That can involve standard technical data such as app version and update status as described in Expo’s privacy notice.

Expo Privacy Policy

6. Analytics and crash reporting

We do not operate a first-party analytics or crash-reporting product inside TradingLog that sends your journal or trade content to us. If we add such tools later, we will update this policy and, where required, the store disclosures.

7. Security and retention

We rely on industry-standard practices on our websites and services, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Data on your device remains under your control until you delete the app or erase data. Google Drive backups remain in your Google account until you remove them.

8. Third-party links

The app may open websites or services operated by others (for example sign-in or help pages). Those services have their own policies; we are not responsible for their practices.

9. Children

TradingLog is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy, except where applicable law requires additional steps.
